Graduating with my degree in silversmithing in 1991 I set up my own business immediately. I have a natural passion for materials, design and for working in three dimensions. My extensive experience working for clients such as Alessi, Brian Asquith, David Mellor, Robert Welch, Birmingham University and Donnington Park, has taught me many things, both creatively and in business. My contemporary work is fascinating. Both for myself during manufacture and the user during operation. I employ traditional techniques and modern technology, alongside new methods I have developed myself. The resulting work is unique, beautiful and functional, tactile and organic. Simplicity is key in my design, with clever and sometimes unexpected functionality for the user providing added interest and intrigue. I am a full member of Contemporary British Silversmiths and A.C.I.D. (Anti-Copying in Design). I have an almost unquenchable thirst for creating new concepts and ideas. I have my own contemporary collection. I also take on private commissions, limited runs, bespoke one-off pieces and industrial projects.
