Silver is a noble and inspiring material that challenges the creative skills of the designer to transform beautiful ideas into reality. It demands a close interaction between the material the designer and the client who commissioned the work. The challenge for me is to create an object that has a sense of beauty but also demands to be used and cared for. The work should take its place in its environment with no sense of ostentation but as an object that enhances the surroundings Designing and making is a challenge both creatively and socially because the task is to produce an object that answers the requirements of the client and draws upon the creative manipulative skills that are embodied in the craft. It also addresses and harnesses new technology that ensures that silver evolves into the new millennium. It should bring enjoyment to those who see it and use it and possess a quality that is timeless.
All within the range of the silversmiths craft.
