Elizabeth Bone

Designer

The Goldsmiths Company

Biography:

Material and process guided by order, balance and a modernist aesthetic form the basis for Elizabeth Bone's work. She uses hand-fabricating techniques to transform precious metal into elegant, flowing, faceted pieces alongside more complex organic forms. Her work embodies a rare mixture of precision, timelessness and a strong sculptural aesthetic. Each piece is exquisitely crafted with the finest attention to detail and surface finish. For over 20 years Elizabeth has been designing, making and teaching. Her work has been exhibited, commissioned and sold widely in the UK and abroad and is featured in numerous jewellery publications. Her work is sought after by collectors both in the UK and abroad. Elizabeth's most recent work introduces colour through a combination of oxidized silver and brightly coloured silk thread creating lightweight and graphic one-off pieces. Gemstones and pearls are being used in some of this new work.
