Biography:

The underlying aim of my jewellery is to evoke a playful sense of curiosity and inquisitiveness in all who glimpse it. The pieces are bright little trinkets that awaken the magpie in all of us – they beg a closer look or even a peek inside! An affinity with organic and natural forms provides the basis for my creative stimulus. I am inspired by curving forms, flowing lines and exquisite details, all of which are abundant in nature. These qualities help give life to the pieces - making them as pleasing to the touch, as to the eye. The work is predominately in silver, combining this with gold, cold enamel and semi-precious stones. Model making, casting and fabrication are the principle methods of production. Pieces are made as collections of batch produced ranges, or to commission.

Specialist Techniques:

The majority of pieces employ lost wax casting, allowing very three dimensional forms to be produced. These are hand finished and assembled with other fabricated elements into the completed article. Cold enamels add lush and vibrant colours to much of the jewellery.
