From her previous background as a metalwork finisher to a talented jewellery designer Fran Barker is becoming respected for her passion and enthusiasm for creating wearable works of art. Fran’s current collections include ‘Peacock’ where she uses a bold explosion of greens, gold and purple gemstones possessed by intertwining silver and gold metalwork. This collection captures the beauty and elegance of the peacock feather with a dark and seductive edge. Her new ‘Sinners’ collection is a combination of glittering gemstones and voluptuous metalwork to reflect the very powerful emotions pride, envy and lust with feminine and elegant styling.Fran works with silver and yellow, white and red gold and often oxidises the silver to give great dimension to her jewellery. Combined with the warmth of the gold it breathes the darker more dramatic feel which is becoming recognised in her work.Fran's jewellery is a captivating range of gem set rings, necklaces and earrings and includes large precious and semi-precious stones for statement pieces as well as smaller stones for everyday wear.
