Irmgard Frauscher

Designer

The Goldsmiths Company

Biography:

My work is inspired from two main areas, the first is cities and all that defines them. From the simple solid geometric angular forms to the complex architectural forms. The second part of interest is nature and the organic natural forms, from the simple soft flowing shapes to the intricate structures and the way they interact.

I try to incorporate both these aspects in my work to achieve and create my designs.

All my jewellery is made by me from beginning to end, from the design process to the surface finish, every part is custom made for that specific design.

I use traditional methods alongside the most modern and advanced techniques to realise my designs.

Special care is given to ergonomics and the wear-ability of the pieces to achieve the desired effect.
