Jane Tadarist

Designer

The Goldsmiths Company

ADDRESS :

Berkshire

Biography:

I take inspiration from my surroundings both manmade and natural. Whilst I work mainly with metal I develop ideas through paper and other craft materials. My current body of work explores the structures of an urban landscape; motion created by repetitive geometric shapes and circulating of traffic. These hidden gems I have translated into silverware and jewellery.

The common thread throughout my work is care and respect for people and community. By working with different scales and collaboratively with artists and members of the public my work seeks to engage and give others the opportunity to view the commonplace from a different perspective.
