My work explores the relationship between the wearer and the jewellery, especially people's love of playing with jewellery. This has led me to develop movable pieces which have fluidity and movement inherent in the form, and which encourage interaction with the wearer.I am fascinated by structure and geometry, exploring the effects of rhythm and repetition. Ideas are developed into three-dimensional forms which explore the volume and transparency of structures. The inspiration for my work comes from nature, architecture and sculpture. I try to create sculptural forms which can be worn on the body. These wearable pieces of sculpture are created from 18ct Gold and Sterling Silver wire which is made into pieces requiring up to 1000 hand-crafted units using 28 meters of wire to create the form of the necklace.
