Biography:

Martin Baker is a master craftsman specialising in precious objects that celebrate nature.His passion is to represent natural motifs in a realistic way whilst maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship.His one of a kind pieces are in many private collections including those belonging to members of the British Royal family; and corporate art collections including those of Disney, De Beers, and Tiffany; as well as the Victoria and Albert Museum permanent collection.His unique pieces are individually handcrafted using a variety of materials such as gold, silver, enamel, carved stone and horn, glass and wood which he chooses with great care to ensure the best execution of his beautiful designs.Artist's Statement“I have spent a lifetime in awe of nature and never tire of studying it. Every piece I do enhances my understanding.  My aim is to develop my ability as a craftsman to communicate this deep admiration through my work”
