ADDRESS :

Dingle Cottage High Street Yoxford Suffolk

Biography:

All of my work revolves around enamelling, the design and surface decoration being the most important thing to me. I try to introduce colours that will work together, through the blending and mixing of shades; colours that will compliment each other and enhance the tones of the coloured stones I like to use. Engraving also plays a large part in my work through the creation of cells: the line of design and the use of different textures and what they will bring to the piece is always a challenge. My enamel work has always leaned towards the more controlled, a high skill factor playing a major part in my work and designs. Even with a long standing enamelling career behind me, I still get excited about the process and the effects that only enamel can bring. The transparancy and clarity of the coloured glass reflecting back from a brightly engraved background still thrill.
