Biography:

Sarah’s work includes individually made pieces for both women and men. Her collection of contemporary jewellery includes pieces made in silver, 18ct gold, palladium and platinum and incorporates a wide variety of unusual and beautiful gemstones. She has recently designed a new collection of work called The Kazuri Collection, (meaning ‘small and beautiful’ in Kiswahili). This is a range of work inspired by a trip to Kenya in 2004. This was made possible with funding from the Arts Council, England. The range is predominantly based on the horn of the small and beautiful Gazelle which can still be seen throughout the country. Sarah have also been keen to utilise Africa’s natural resources and have incorporated several gemstones which have been mined and cut in East Africa including Tsavorite and Tanzanite which are unique to Kenya and Tanzania. Alongside the main collection, Sarah offers a commissioning service where you can take part in the design process and have something created from your own ideas. This service is ideal for bespoke engagement and wedding rings or a unique gift for any occasion. Sarah will also re-set your gems into new jewellery. Please contact her for details.
